Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering (TSE)

The chair of Transportation Systems Engineering focuses on performing transportation research surrounding aspects of modelling and simulation of transportation systems, implementation of data science and data analytics in transport and human factors analysis.

Position Description

The position is part of the OBUAM project, in which TSE is participating. The OBUAM project aims to research the potential use cases of urban air mobility and its integration to the existing transportation systems in the region of Upper Bavaria (Oberbayern), with a focus on different scenarios. The task of the student is to perform desk research in this area, such as the review of methods for data collection of demographics for the given region and the time-frame 2030-2050, in addition to supporting in producing the project deliverables.

Requirements

Candidates are required to:

  • have (at least) a BSc degree in a relevant field (e.g. transportation engineering, environmental engineering, social sciences)
  • have excellent working knowledge (written and oral) of German

 

 

Conditions of employment

This position is limited to one semester, is immediately available till the end of September 2019 and can be extended up to three months.
